Swim Wales has issued a further update following the postponement of the Swim Wales National Championships.

Swim Wales would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all competitors, coaches, volunteers and supporters who have been affected by the cancellation of the Swim Wales National Championships.

We are deeply disappointed by this outcome after working tirelessly over the last week to relocate the meet to the Cardiff, only to face the same issues with the facilities. Despite the huge challenges, we believed we could host a high quality short course event at Cardiff International Pool, and we truly sympathise with the swimmers who missed out on an opportunity to compete this weekend.

We have begun the process of exploring alternative opportunities for swimmers to compete at a Level 1 Long Course licensed meet within the qualification window for the British Swimming Summer Championships and the Swim Wales Summer Open. We will provide an update in due course.

We will be refunding all entry fees and spectator tickets, these will be automatically processed over the next seven working days.

We cannot stress how disappointed we are for all those affected, and we would like to thank you all for your understanding during what has been a difficult period.
