Commonwealth Games Day 6 AS IT HAPPENED!

RECORD I GYMRU!

The relay group made up of Joe Small, Kyle Booth, Lewis Fraser and Matthew Richards chased down England, Australia and Scotland to break the record set by Marco Loughran, Rob Holderness, Tom Laxton and Calum Jarvis at the Glasgow Games.

After Small, Booth and Fraser had consolidated our hold on fourth, Richards was tasked with hunting serial medallist Duncan Scott down on the final leg. Richards was closing in on his Team GB rival, but ran out of water to make up the difference as our team finished with an impressive time of 3:36.43.

MEDLEY RELAYS NEXT

Our Men’s 4×100 Medley Relay team will complete our swimming programme at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

She goes toe-to-toe with the world’s best once again and comes fifth in a rapid final, missing out on a medal by 0.04 seconds. Another unbelievable performance from our rising star from North Wales.

It’s almost time for the final session of swimming at Birmingham 2022!

Dylan Broom, Medi Harris and the Men’s 4x100m Medley team are all in action to bring the swimming to a close.

WALES FOURTH FASTEST

Strong swim from our boys! Wales are into the final as the fourth fastest qualifier after strong swims from White, Newman, Carswell and Jones take us home in 3:41.62. We’ll be back for tonight’s final action!

Canada were disqualified in our Heat.
