SPORT WALES
Sport Wales are the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in Wales.
They are the Welsh Government’s lead adviser for all things sports and support its strategies, Climbing Higher and Creating an Active Wales.
Sport Wales also distributes National Lottery grants to enable sport in Wales to flourish. They invest in grassroots sport and are committed to providing Wales’ most promising athletes with the support they need to compete successfully on the world stage.
WELSH GOVERNMENT
We work in partnership with Welsh Government on a number of levels with the aim of increasing the health and wellbeing of the nation.
Swim Wales is a beneficiary of Welsh Government funding, distributed through Sport Wales. Together, we have helped Welsh swimmers win Olympic and Commonwealth medals, and ensured children learn the lifesaving skills associated with aquatics.
BRITISH SWIMMING
British Swimming is the national governing body for Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Open Water in Great Britain. It is responsible internationally for the high performance representation of the sport.
The members of British Swimming are the three Home Country national governing bodies of England, Scotland and Wales.
