YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD

YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD

The brand-new Swim Wales Youth Advisory Board, is a platform for young people to help shape the future of swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming, open water and para swimming across Wales. If you’re aged between 14–18 and love being in or around the water, this is your chance to influence real change and help guide the decisions made by the National Governing Body.

Aims and Objectives

  • Youth representation: Be the voice of young people in Welsh aquatics, ensuring their views shape the future of our sports.
  • Leadership development: Provide opportunities for young members to gain leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Community & Inclusion: Create a welcoming environment that encourages more young people from diverse backgrounds across Wales to get involved in aquatic sports at all levels and in a wide range of roles.

  • Participation from all backgrounds and abilities: Help us deliver our core objective of ‘Aquatics for Everyone for Life’, opening doors to aquatic activity for all communities – no matter their circumstances.

  • Positive Change & Innovation: Work alongside Swim Wales, clubs and partners to create progressive, youth-led initiatives that enhance accessibility and opportunities for young people.
