Tyler Melbourne-Smith is a middle distance and distance freestyle specialist with an exceptional record at both domestic and international level for Wales and Great Britain.

Tyler has incredible versatility in his range of distances, producing world class performances form the 200m all the way through to the 1500m freestyle.

His major achievements include:

• Silver medallist at the European U/23’s championships (2025) in the 400m Freestyle
• 2 x Gold medallist at the Trinbago Commonwealth Youth Games (2023) in the 400m and 1500m Freestyle, plus bronze in the mixed 4x200m freestyle relay.
• 2 x silver medallist at the Euro Meet (2026) in the 400m and 1500m freestyle
• 5 x Aquatics GB Championships medallist (2024-26) in the 400m and 800m freestyle

Tyler has shown outstanding recent form, setting new personal best times at the 2026 Aquatics GB Championships in the 200m and 400m freestyle events and gaining selection to represent Great Britain at the 2026 European Championships.
