What is a Poolside Accreditation?

Poolside Accreditation is a mandatory requirement across all Swim Wales events. Every athlete, coach, and team manager must hold a valid printed pass to access the poolside area.

Poolside Accreditations must be purchased and printed before arrival. Each athlete, Coach, and Team Manager will receive a lanyard and wallet at the event.

If accreditation is forgotten, Swim Wales will issue a replacement on the day, at a charge of £5. Delays will occur, and you will not be granted poolside access until accreditation is received.

Coaches and Team Managers Requirements

To obtain accreditation, a Coach or Team Manager must meet the criteria below:

DBS: a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Safeguarding Credential: a Swim Wales approved Safeguarding credential.
Role-Specific Qualifications: A coach must hold a coaching qualification, and a Team Manager must have completed at least a Level 1 Team Manager qualification.

How do I purchase a Poolside Accreditation?

Accreditations can be purchased online through the Swim Wales website. The process is quick, secure, and must be completed prior to the event.

Will I receive confirmation after purchasing?

Yes. You will receive a confirmation email once your purchase is complete. This email will confirm that your accreditation request has been processed and explain what to expect next.

When will I receive my actual accreditation pass?

Your accreditation pass will be sent by email shortly before the event. It will arrive as a PDF attachment that you must download and print before attending.

What should I do when I receive my accreditation via email?

Once you receive your accreditation, please download and print it, you must bring it with you to the event for entry.

Do I need to print my accreditation myself?

Yes. You are responsible for printing your accreditation before the event.

What happens if I forget to print my accreditation?

If your accreditation is not printed before arrival, a printing charge will apply on the day. Please ensure you print and bring it with you to avoid delays or additional costs.

Will I be given a lanyard and wallet?

Yes. Lanyards and accreditation wallets will be provided upon arrival at the event. Please insert your printed accreditation into the wallet and wear it visibly at all times.

What if I haven’t received my accreditation before the event?

If you have not received your accreditation by the expected date, please contact events@swimwales.org

What should I do if the details on my accreditation are incorrect?

If your name, club, or role appear incorrectly on your accreditation, please contact events@swimwales.org immediately so we can correct the information before the event.
