Further to our statement on the cancellation our National & Regional Events for the foreseeable future, we are aware of the concerns of both organisations and customer about other activities.

The wellbeing, health and safety of all our affiliated clubs and their members, volunteers, participants, customers and partners is a priority for Swim Wales, and we are aware that a number of planned Aquatic activities have already been cancelled or postponed. At present, our position is to support an informed view for organisations to make their own decisions as to whether their activities should run by looking at the local situation and the planned conditions. Please contact your Regional Development Manager who can support you and your organisation.

In reaching decisions about competitions and other activities that might be taking place, organisations are encouraged to consider the latest Government advice.

Regular communication with local partners, facility operators, travelling athletes and organisations is essential and consideration must be given to those who have concerns about their health. Organisations should be aware that some athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators may withdraw from competition at the last minute due to changing circumstances or advice. Swim Wales will continue to work closely with local authorities and partners and will support organisations with their decision making.

Finally, please follow all the relevant advice on how to avoid catching or spreading the virus, we would encourage you to look after your health. There is no pressure from Swim Wales for athletes, coaches, and volunteers to attend any organised activity if they feel it will risk their health.
