South Whales Swim School, based in Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taf, has proudly retained its Swim Wales Learn to Swim Gold Accreditation for a second consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in providing life-enhancing swimming lessons for learners of all ages and abilities. SWSS was the first provider to be recognised with the award in 2023 and continue to be an outstanding role model for swim schools across the nation.
This significant achievement highlights SWSS’s continued dedication to governance, sustainability and effectiveness. The Gold Accreditation, awarded by Swim Wales, is the pinnacle of recognition for swim schools in Wales, acknowledging those who have consistently demonstrated exceptional quality in teaching, safeguarding, and learner satisfaction.
The family run Swim School was founded in 2019 and operates in Caerphilly, Beddau, and Pontypridd, SWSS has become a leader in delivering accessible swimming lessons through the mediums of Welsh, English, and British Sign Language. Their unique approach ensures that every individual, regardless of age, ability, or background, has the opportunity to learn how to swim in a safe and supportive environment.

The Swim Wales Gold Accredited Provider status is available to organisations in Wales delivering at least one element of the Learn to Swim Wales framework. This includes swim schools, local authority operators, leisure trusts, private leisure providers and multi-site organisations.
