Whether you are a participant, coach, volunteer, teacher, or supporter, we are genuinely grateful to have had you as a member.

If there is anything we can do to support you before you leave, we would love the chance to help. Whether you’re taking a break from the sport, moving away or just need to talk things through, we are here for you.

How do I cancel my Membership?

You can cancel by logging into your JustGo account, navigating to Finance > View Plans, and selecting Cancel Plan. Alternatively, you may contact the Swim Wales Membership Team to request cancellation by emailing membership@swimwales.org

Can Swim Wales cancel my membership for me?

We’re happy to help, but cancellation must be actioned either by the member through their JustGo account or formally requested via email to membership@swimwales.org

Do I need to cancel if I’m changing clubs?

No, your Swim Wales membership remains valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and is not tied to a specific club. If you’re transferring to a different affiliated club during your membership period, you do not need to cancel or repurchase your Swim Wales membership.

Please ensure your club transfer is updated correctly through your JustGo profile or by contacting your new club, so your records remain accurate.

Can I transfer my membership to someone else?

No, Swim Wales memberships are non-transferable and are tied to the individual member.

Is there a deadline for cancelling my membership before renewal?

Yes. To avoid being charged for the next 12-month term, cancellation must be requested at least four (4) working days prior to your renewal date.

Will I be reminded before my membership renews?

Yes. We will email you three renewal reminders, 30 days, 10 days, and 1 day before your membership is due to renew. These will include your renewal date, cost, and cancellation instructions.

What happens if I don’t cancel – will my membership automatically renew?

Yes, your membership will automatically renew annually unless you cancel before your renewal date. You will receive reminder notifications ahead of time.

What if I accidentally forgot to cancel and I’m charged again?

If you miss the cancellation window and your membership renews, you have 14 days from the renewal date to contact us at membership@swimwales.org. If you have not used any membership benefits during that time, you may be eligible for a full refund under the cooling-off period. After 14 days, refunds are not available.

Can I cancel part way through my membership billing period?

You can request to cancel your membership at any time during your 12-month membership period. However, once the 14-day cooling-off period has passed, Swim Wales does not offer partial refunds for unused time. If you choose to cancel after the cooling-off period, your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing year, and no refund will be issued for the remaining months.

If I cancel during my membership billing period, can I get a refund?

Refunds are only available if you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period following your purchase or renewal subscription or annual renewal. After the 14-day period has passed, membership fees are non-refundable. Your membership will remain active until the end of your current billing period, even if you choose to cancel early.

Can I pause or freeze my membership instead of cancelling?

Unfortunately, we do not offer the ability to pause or freeze your membership at this time. You may cancel and rejoin when ready.

Will cancelling affect my club membership?

Yes. All Swim Wales affiliated clubs require members to hold an active Swim Wales membership. Cancelling your Swim Wales membership will affect your eligibility to train, coach, or compete at your club.
