Dylan Broom

Dylan Broom is a Welsh para swimmer who competes in the S14 classification.
Born in Abersychan, Dylan was inspired to take up swimming after watching the 2012 Summer Olympics. Later that year, he joined Torfaen Dolphins and quickly progressed through the sport.
He received his S14 classification in September 2017 and made an immediate impact, entering the national junior championships just two months later where he won three gold medals and one silver. By September 2018, Dylan had stepped up to compete at the British National Championships as a senior swimmer.
Dylan made his Commonwealth Games debut at the Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022, finishing seventh in the 200m Freestyle S14.
In August 2025, he was selected for the British Para Swimming team for the World Para Swimming Championships Singapore 2025, marking his first major international championship appearance. The following month, he helped the team secure gold in the Mixed 4×100m Freestyle Relay S14.
Most recently, Dylan won silver in the MC 200m Freestyle and bronze medals in both the Men’s MC 200m Individual Medley and the S14 100m Freestyle at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships 2026.
