Swim Wales swimmers to compete in Rome

A team of nine Swim Wales elite development swimmers will compete at the Settecolli international swimming competition in Rome this weekend. They will be joined in Rome by six members of the senior elite squad who will travel as part of the British team in their preparation for the European Championships. The competition will see many of the World top swimmers competing over the three days of competition which runs from 29th June to 1st July.

Swim Wales National Performance Director Ross Nicholas said. ‘ Settecolli is one of the highest level meets on the European circuit and will offer a great opportunity for this young group of aspiring elite athletes to challenge themselves against World class opposition. The meet will be a great learning experiences for both athletes and coaches and provide great international exposure to them to help them during their transition into senior swimming.’
