Swim Wales is offering an exciting opportunity to join their Business Development team.
Why join Swim Wales as a Product Manager?
To be part of the next step for Swim Wales at an exciting stage in its future.
This is a brand new role for a dynamic Product Manager / Product Owner looking to shape a SaaS business as they build on the successful first stage of their development and move the role in house.
Aqua Passport is the UK’s leading Swimming software, providing a comprehensive structured program to leisure providers and swim schools as they coach their members from 6 months to 11 years old. Whilst the platform can support any sport, Swim Wales have applied their domain knowledge to the platform to build a dedicated swim program. Currently there are 130K users with an existing pipeline to reach 300k within 3 years whilst also approaching other sports.
It's important that you bring pragmatism and a flexible approach to how you'll operate. We will expect solid business analysis and stakeholder management skills as you act as the bridge between the outsourced development company, Swim Wales commercial team and the end clients.
Whilst the product is successful it is still relatively new, so this opportunity comes with the need to “muck in” and get the job done. However, you will be joining early enough so you can shape not only your role and the product, but the whole company.
You will be:
- Running all things 'product' - from developing user stories, to owning product backlogs and their prioritisation as well as acceptance criteria.
- The client’s champion, positioned at the centre of problem solving.
- Managing product scope whilst avoiding scope creep
- Expected to walk the tightrope of improving customer experience and moving the product forward.
- Making high-quality decisions that aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions when necessary.
- Playing an active part in the leadership team
- Able to communicate exceptionally well - listening, writing and speaking
- Highly organised - ensuring that documents remain accurate and up-to-date, and completing core duties as and when required
The fruits of your labour will be a software product that will help the next generations sporting stars. In return, you will receive a salary that is competitive to attract experienced applications from people who can help the company move forward. We actively encourage our staff to develop themselves personally and professionally, whilst maintaining a successful work-life balance.
Swim Wales has a strong commitment to improving equality and diversity within their workforce and their sport. It is expected that the post-holder will uphold this commitment and demonstrate the appropriate inclusive behaviours to support achievement of these aims.
Access to your own transport will be essential.
Please submit your application form with covering letter explaining why you believe you will be suitable for this role, to firstname.lastname@example.org
Application closing date: 5.00pm on the 18th April 2018
Swim Wales promotes inclusion and diversity, and welcomes applications from everyone. If you have any particular requirements in respect of the recruitment or interview process please mention this in your covering letter. Swim Wales is an equal opportunities employer and aims to provide a discrimination-free working environment.
