Swim Wales Select Coach Development Programme

Swim Wales are very happy to announce the Coaches for the Swim Wales Select Coach Development Programme

It is the first time that Swim Wales has had such a programme of delivery at this level with three main areas of focus, Technical Delivery, Management and Personal Skills. The programme will integrate a lot of existing Swim Wales initiatives and will ensure that the coaches attending receive valuable information for personal development.

We were overwhelmed with the level of interest in its first year of operation and found it difficult to reach a decision. The select coach development programme for the Bronze level will always be an open application every year going forwards and I would hope to continue to receive this level of interest, demonstrating the willingness of the coaches within Wales to seek personal development.

The coaches selected for the Gold programme are;

  • Adam Baker – Swansea, Stuart McNarry – Swansea, Hayley Baker – Swansea, Graham Wardell – Cardiff, Dale Frantzeskou – Cardiff

The coaches selected for the Silver programme are;

  • Austyn Shortman – Nofio Sir Gar, Aled Davies – Nofio Clwyd, Bron Hill – Swim Gwynedd, Chris Davies – Swim Conwy, James Goodwin – City of Newport, Craig Nelson – Pembroke County, Ian Rosser – Torfaen Dolphins, Alex Dallimore – Bridgend County, Keith Morgan – RCT

The coaches selected for the Bronze programme are;

  • Craig Prime – Wrexham, Sam Jones – Pembroke, Peter Key – Caerphilly, Paul Hillman – Newtown, Jackie Gwillim – Heads of the Valley, Justin Jones – Denbigh Dragons, Nick Russell – RCT, Sunita Patel – Flint ASC, David Parry – Caernarfon, David Cocks – Cardiff, Maria Elsa Best – Llandudno SC, Andrew Horsfall-Turner – Swansea, Andrew Roberts – Nofio Clywd

The Development programme as this year, will be open from August to September with selections being made in September in preparation for the start of the New Season.
