Swim Wales Awards Evening 2012

Swim Wales celebrated the achievements of participants in Welsh aquatics by hosting the Swim Wales Awards Evening on Friday 12^th October 2012 @ The Village Hotel, Swansea. A fabulous evening was had by all and our special thanks go to 'Written in Kings' who played a wonderful set, Phil Steele who did a great job hosting the awards and to David Davies, Jemma Lowe, Georgia Davies, Liz Johnson and Ieuan Lloyd for making the presentations.

The Awards Evening recognised the efforts of coaches, volunteers & swimmers who contribute so much to aquatics in Wales.

The 14 award category winners and runner up were: 

1. Female Senior Swimmer - Winner: Jemma Lowe & Georgia Davies runner up
2. Female Junior Swimmer - Winner: Chloe Tutton & Carys Thomas runner up
3. Male Senior Swimmer - Winner: Ieuan Lloyd & Marco Loughran runner up
4. Male Junior Swimmer - Winner: Cameron Brown & Lewis Fraser runner up
5. Male Disability Swimmer - Winner: Morgyn Peters & Jack Thomas runner up
6. Female Disability Swimmer - Winner: Nyree Kindred & Liz Johnson runner up
7. Junior Disability Swimmer - Winner: Ffion Butler & Morgan Vaughan runner up
8. Master Swimmer - Winner: Helen Hughes & James Arthur runner up
9. Water Polo Player - Winner: Dan Laxton & Russ Thomas runner up
10. Team -Winner: Swim Wales Summer Nationals Technical Officials & Swim Swansea 4x200m Mens Relay runner up
11. Performance Coach - Winner: Billy Pye & Dr Ross Nicholas runner up
12. Volunteer Coach - Winer: Rohan Monico & Adrian Thomas runner up
13. Volunteer - Winner: Luke Hart & Margaret Sharratt runner up
14. Unsung Hero - Winner: Rob Williams & Richard Owen runner up
