Swim Safe - Teacher Recruitment 2017
- Swimming, Diving, Synchro, Water Polo, Education
Exciting news - we will be holding Swim Safe sessions in Wales again this year at Cardiff International White Water Centre and at Plas Menai in North Wales.
We are now in the process of recruiting Level 2 swimming teachers to help deliver the activities in both Cardiff and Plas Menai this summer. These are paid positions and teachers do not have to commit to all dates, we require a minimum of 3 teachers per day so a rota system will be implemented as needed if necessary.
What is Swim Safe?
Swim Safe is a FREE water safety programme jointly funded by Swim England and RNLI and delivered locally in partnership with Swim Wales.
Swim Safe is aimed at 7-14yr olds have water confidence indoors and can swim 25m in a swimming pool. We want to teach the children the difference between swimming in a pool and swimming in open water where it is cold and effected by many other factors (currents, hidden objects etc..) It is open to local children or children here on their holidays/day trip.
It will consist of a 1hr session including a water safety talk/activity then in water tuition is delivered. A maximum of 20 children will be taught by qualified swimming teachers and RNLI lifeguards.
There will be lots of publicity (which we hope you can support) and there will be an online registration process that people can sign up to attend sessions along with volunteers around on the beach asking people if they want to take part.
