Head Coach Profile

Swim Conwy is headed up by Sue Parry, the only full-time female performance coach in Wales and the first professional coach in Conwy. Prior to this appointment Sue had worked for over 15 years as a volunteer club coach and in 2006 was awarded the accolade of Welsh female coach of the year and Conwy County coach of the year.

Sue has successfully coached several swimmers to Age and Youth level and has coached swimmers to podium places at Youth Commonwealth Games, Age Group Championships, National Youth Championships, W.I.S.E (domestic internationals) and UK Schools Games. Other of her achievements include coaching swimmers to Welsh Junior Record Holder level at both age and youth level, a swimmer to British Age Group record holder title and a swimmer to British Swimming's World Class Potential Starts Programme.  

Sue has built a solid and sustainable foundation at Swim Conwy which ensures that the swimmer's progression from the lesson to club programmes is as seamless as possible.

Club Profile

Swim Conwy is a performance club based at Llandudno Swimming Centre. Since Sue Parry's appointment as head coach in 2010, squad numbers have doubled.
