Wales National Pool, Swansea, is one of three British Swimming
Paralympic High Performance Centres in the UK. The centre offers a
holistic service to world class athletes. Head coach, Billy Pye, is
one of the most decorated swimming coaches in the country and was
voted Sport Wales Performance Coach of the Year in 2009, UKCC High
Performance Coach of the Year 2009 and British Swimming Coaches
Association Performance Coach of the Year in 2005, 2007 and 2008.
Billy has coached Paralympic Gold Medallists including David
Roberts, Eleanor Simmonds, Liz Johnson and Gareth Duke.
There are currently ten swimmers training out of the High Performance Centre, all of whom are part
of British Swimming's World Class programme.
