Canoeing and Kayaking

Whether you're new to paddling or you're an old hand, you'll find plenty of places to paddle in Wales. From a tranquil paddle on a canal to full-on white water paddling. From beautiful natural settings like rivers, lakes and 750 miles of coastline to the excitement of Cardiff International White Water at Cardiff Bay.

Wales is a great place to learn to paddle, for both adults and children. If you're up for a challenge, there are plenty of opportunities to compete.

Canoe Wales is responsible for paddle sports including canoeing and kayaking. It provides coaching and development programmes, stages competitions and manages the National White Water Centre on the river Tryweryn in Bala, North Wales.
